I usually don't (almost never) post both color and monochrome versions of the same image, but I'm making an exception. I believe this image works equally well for both. Sunrise over Ruby Beach in Olympic National Park.

I'm a life long resident of Long Island in New York who has only recently become involved in serious photography. I didn't own a camera until well after my first son was born, and my only knowledge of that Minolta was which end to look through and which button to push. However, after retiring six years ago I discovered a passion for photography that I couldn't imagine lived within me. With the guidance of some exceptional instructors at the International Center of Photography in New York City and outstanding workshop leaders, I've been given the knowledge and confidence to explore this passion and see where it will lead me. I appreciate you taking the time to look at my images, and it's my sincere hope that they bring some enjoyment....
